Armstrong & Associates’ Evaluation:

Private equity capital put together the world-class contract logistics of CEVA and the freight forwarding capabilities of Eagle Global Logistics. The geographical match of the two companies is very good. CEVA is the world’s largest automotive contract logistician and has good strategic capabilities. It has a heavy emphasis on manufacturing and is expanding operations in other verticals. North American operations have been consistently profitable. Logistics operates in 26 countries with 1,200 contracts serving 800 customers. The CEVA operations we have visited get top marks. Revenues are split roughly equally between warehouse management and transportation management. Airfreight forwarding and customs brokerage are the major revenue components from Eagle.
